Join the South France Holiday Villas family !

South France Holiday Villas is a real family business. We pride ourselves on the personal contact and rapport we enjoy with both homeowners and holidaymakers. We offer a refreshing and flexible approach to renting a holiday home in a market that is more and more dominated by impersonal web platforms. Dealing with South France Holiday Villas means that you too can become a member of our extended family..

By family, for families

We love the South of France, and we want you to love it too! To make sure that you do, we strive to visit every property on our website before listing it so you can rest assured that the house is as advertised. Having been on countless family holidays ourselves we know what's important to make sure that everyone has a good time. And since we know the houses on our website, we will happily point you in the direction of THE villa to make your holiday unforgettable.

Whether that's simply that a cot and highchair can be provided for the newest addition to your family, that the house is child-proofed for toddlers or that there is a games room for the teenagers, jus ask! We all know that happy kids mean a happy holiday, but don't forget about yourself, either! Are you looking for a house with a barbecue to cook your delicious steaks on, or a quiet corner where you can read the book you bought 6 years ago and never got to? Perhaps you don't want to cook at all but be within walking distance to bars and restaurants? Or you're thinking of taking the older members of your family who will need a ground-floor bedroom and bathroom? Whatever it is you're looking for, we can help you find the perfect holiday home in the South of France.

A little bit of family history

It all started in 2001 when Juliana Forte and her young family moved to France. What started as a tiny business managing the properties of a few friends has since grown into a company with hundreds of properties and clients from all around the world.

It remains a family business with three members of the family continuing to work full-time. They are backed by hand-picked staff and resources to make a small but effective team.

We strive to visit every house advertised on our website, either by ourselves or by one of our few select partners. This means that the houses are well managed, descriptions are current and photographs are up to date. This also means that we can advise you personally on which villa we think suits your group best and for what reasons.

Juliana says, “ I believe that there is power and integrity in working as a small family business; where colleagues are friends and family, suppliers are known faces, and clients are valued guests. I believe in a personal approach and tailor-made options. We are proud that we always go the extra mile for our clients. You can rest assured that you are in safe hands and will receive the best service possible when dealing with South France Holiday Villas.”

Why I love the South of France
What's not to like :).  Beautiful beaches, a myriad of markets, fabulous food, wonderful wine, spectacular scenery, an abundance of activities, and of course the endless sunshine.  A dream of a place to live in or just to visit.

    Favourite villa
    Villa Leona
I visited this property a few years ago, arriving in the dark as we had seen a record number of houses that day. What a property to end the day on! It is simply gorgeous and has everything you could possibly wish for a family holiday including a football pitch, a tree house and lovely terraces on upper and ground levels. As it was dark, we got to see the panoramic view by night which was spectacular from the elevated position of the house. It's been a favourite of mine ever since.

Do some research on the area you will be staying in to make sure you take advantage of the various festivals and entertainment which will be going on around you. These events are mostly free and great fun, giving you a chance to join in with the locals in a way you may not experience otherwise. Join the local village/area Facebook pages to get information on upcoming events to make sure you don't miss a thing! There are usually festivals every weekend and who would want to miss experiencing the Fete de la Truffe or de la Grenouille!

Why I love the South of France
Living in the South of France feels like a never-ending holiday. I love being able to finish work and head out to a beach bar, or to a live concert being held on one of the picture-perfect main squares in Béziers. I love being able to end the day by going to the beach for a couple of hours, or even to start the day. At the weekend, there are so many options for things to do, certainly in this area, that it’s often difficult to know where to start. Some of my favourite things to do are to go to a river beach with a picnic, or go for a hike in Roquebrun, a wander around the cobble-stoned streets in Pezenas followed by lunch on the main square, or even just jump in the car and go on a little road trip, seeing where the day takes us.

    Favourite villa
    Domaine de la Roque
My favourite villa is one that has only recently been added to the website. It’s just outside of Marseillan and is the most wonderful place for both adults and children. The interior is beautifully designed and the outside area is to die for, with loads of areas for kids to run around and even a treehouse and private tennis court - visiting it made me want to be 10 years old again.

Go with the flow. The way of life in the South of France is very slow and chilled out. When you go to a restaurant, you should plan on being there for a couple of hours, at least - for the French, eating is an experience that is not to be rushed. Your waiter isn’t ignoring you, he’s giving you time to digest your food in between courses, to appreciate your glass of local wine and to take in your surroundings - it’s an experience for all 5 senses. This goes for everything you’ll do over here, take it slow and appreciate every second. If you chill out, you’ll find your holiday even better than you thought possible.

Why I love the South of France
It’s the space and the light that first attracted me to the south of France. France has the same population as the UK but three times the landmass so inevitably you have more room to breathe. I love the fact that the area is so diverse – sea, mountains, vineyards, tourist hotspots and wide open spaces. There really is something for everyone here. And that’s not to mention the food and the wine!

    Favourite villa
    Manoir and Farmhouse d'Eygalières
This lovely property is so beautifully maintained and the gardens are to die for. With two houses sleeping up to 14 people, two swimming pools, a tennis court and vegetable garden where you can ‘pick your own’, I just love this place. It’s even within easy walking distance of Mollégès, a pretty village with a choice of bars and restaurants. Popular Eygalières is just a very short hop in the car for an even bigger choice of dining spots and St Rémy de Provence is about 15 minutes away.

The Mediterranean coast stretches from the Italian to the Spanish borders and some parts are breathtaking. However, be aware that the south of France can get very hot in summer. Always wear sun cream, hats and sunglasses and try not to be out in the sun for too long over midday and early afternoon. And drink lots – water mainly, but the odd glass of something a bit more exciting cannot be ruled out!

Why I love the South of France
Endless possibilities. The region is so diverse, with so many things to do and see - nature, history, culture, art, gastronomy, etc. You can go for a wake-up swim in your private pool or the Med followed by breakfast at one of the morning markets, then head off on a 3-4 hour hike in the mountains to end the day with dinner by the beach and a couple of drinks in town. All in 1 day - that's just wow!

    Favourite villa
    Le Moulin de Villeneuvette
This old water mill is a hidden gem. I love the feel and vibe of it, the grounds are a wonderful mix between slightly savage and well kept and the pool area is bliss. If you're looking to get away from it all, this is the place to go.

Live in the moment and enjoy the small things. Too many people try to cram too many things into their holiday, running from must-see to must-eat. It just causes frustration and stress. Pick fewer things to do and take your time to do them. Also remember, sometimes a mental picture is better than a digital one.
