'We have had a wonderful two weeks here in your beautiful home. Thank you for making it so welcoming and a real home from home. The welcome basket was a nice touch, and we so appreciated the well stocked kitchen and comfortable beds, plus the AC!'.
Visited by one of our team - very highly recommended.
Beautiful villa, very clean, completely outfitted with everything we needed. Lovely town, very small but friendly. Practice your French, although we did have fun with pantomime

We had a wonderful week’s stay at the Villa in Cessanon! The home had three very spacious and comfortable bedrooms, a great living area, and a very well equipped kitchen that allowed us to do some fun cooking with local foods. Outside the home was a beautiful pool with plenty of area to sit in both sun and the shade. We were hoping for a quiet place and this fit the bill being up on top of a hill overlooking the town. The town of Cessanon was just 1/2 mile to walk into and had a couple of restaurants including an exceptional gourmet restaurant in the Restaurant de l’Orb, along wi5 a couple of other places to eat as well as a fantastic local patisserie and cheese shop and charcuterie. From our villa we traveled easily to many wonderful towns that were within and hour of us throughout the Languedoc region. Was a perfect week!

This is a lovely villa and very well-equipped. The kitchen has loads of gadgets, pots and pans etc and if anything there is not enough cupboard space for storing groceries ( but there are two fridge-freezers). The TV has the full list of British freeview channels, and there is a small library of DVDs to watch, as well as a lot of local maps/guidebooks. The pool area is a bit remote from the house and not ideal if you want to pop in and out of the house, although there is a fridge and BBQ area adjacent to the pool. The view from the pool area is truly stunning. There is a patio and outside eating area outside the lounge patio doors, again with a great view of the valley. The driveway approach to the villa is up a bendy road, and the walk to the village is about 10 mins downhill, 15 mins uphill on the way back. There are three eating options in the village, two mid priced restaurants (one a bit swankier than the other) and the local (busy) bar which does cheap and cheerful meals in the summer. Very large Carrefour about 8 miles away and there is a Carrefour express in the village which carries a good range and has a butchery counter, as well as a local bakery/patisserie. The roads into Cessenon from west and east are in very good condition, they must have been resurfaced when the Tour de France came through here in 2016! And there are lots and lots of vineyards with direct sales/tasting options around the area. Lowe family - Aug 2018
We had a wonderful stay at Les Hautes Terres. It’s a lovely house, really well equipped, and a great pool and terrace, with views over the valley. The local villages, domaines, and restaurants were interesting and welcoming. There’s not many places that we lost as a place to return to - but this is definite one of them.

The Villa is well placed up in the hills with fantastic views. It feels very private and you are not overlooked. The grounds are quite extensive and very well landscaped. I am a keen gardener and was very impressed with the design, it borrows and merges beautifully with the surrounding landscape. Town is a 10 minute walk and not too strenuous, especially if you go early morning before the sun is too hot. There are a couple of bakeries, a butchers/deli a bar and a couple of restaurants. For bigger shops there are a couple of supermarkets about 15 minutes away by car.
I was there with my family, including a toddler. We mostly enjoyed relaxing by the pool and in and around the villa. I should mention that the villa is very well stocked. The kitchen had more and better utensils/crockery/cutlery than my home kitchen. Also I had taken lots of things I did not need. There is a stock of washing up liquid, dishwasher and washing machine tablets, cleaning products, soaps, handwashes ect......
The bedrooms are nicely decorated and the beds comfortable. I slept well thanks to the air-conditioning in the bedrooms.
The pool area is slightly set away from the main property, on a lower terrace. It has a nice tiled area with loungers and an outside kitchen with a built in BBQ. There is a washing up area and even a fridge. The views are wonderful. It got a little hot down there at 1700 so we would often venture back to the coolness of the terrace off the living room.
The beaches are about a 35-40 minute drive. We went to Valras Plage near Beziers. To be honest it was not really my thing. A little naff with 1000s of people crammed on the hot sands.
I can recommend a visit to Sete, with its lovely canals and seafood restaurants. We also had a nice time in Beziers, there is a good shopping centrre called the Polygon, where we bought our toddlers first pair of shoes. St Chinian is worth a visit on Market Days. There is a lovely restuarant called cafe de paix (or something similar). It is very popular so you may need to book. We also visited Roquebrun and had an ice cream and a swim in the Orb , where the river bends and slows, there is a pebble beach and lots of people swimming.
I think a car is a must. If flying have a look at Beziers, it is the closest by far. The drive up the villa is a little bumpy, and there are a few ruts in the turning area to start the ascent up the villa drive. I had a 4x4 but to be honest it is not a necessity!
