Les Estivales

Les Estivales are weekly festivals held throughout the Languedoc in the summer months. Montpellier, Pézenas, Narbonne and Sommières are the most famous ones and each do their own version but broadly speaking, Les Estivales are mini-festivals where local wine producers showcase their products whilst giving you the opportunity to enjoy live music and good food. The great thing is that you are actively encouraged to taste different wines, so for a very basic entry fee, you can choose two or three producers and sample their wine for free. 

Pézenas

Every Friday evening along the Cours Jean Jaurès from end of June to end of August. 8pm – midnight.
4€ including the souvenir glass.
Great ambience, lots of music. Very family-orientated.

Narbonne

Every Friday evening on the Promenade des Barques in July and August. 6.30pm – 11.30pm
4€ for two dégustations + your own souvenir glass.
Similar format, with lots of wine, music, conviviality and fun. An excellent way to get to know some of the local wines.
