Sainte Maxime

Sainte Maxime is a vibrant little town offering a vast choice of reasonably priced restaurants. Soak up the wonderful atmosphere in the cobbled streets of the old town where a craft market is held in the evenings. There are various weekly markets including a ‘Capet’ Food market, local produce market and flea market.

Sainte Maxime has a harbour for hiring day boats and a ferry to St Tropez (every 15 mins running until past midnight at peak times). There are numerous activities including most water sports, an Aqua Park, horse riding, tennis and a casino. There are splendid walks in the forested hills of the Maures overlooking the gulf and a good number of excellent golf courses nearby with the bonus of some beautiful views. The Théatre de la Mer open-air theatre offers concerts and music.

The best beach in Sainte Maxime is undoubtedly 'La Nartelle'. You can either park your car there or walk quite easily, along the road or via a quiet shady footpath. The beach has a sailing club and is lined with quality restaurants where you can treat yourself to a sunlounger too. The beachfront is still 'buzzing' in the evening, the restaurants are lively and perfect for a meal out or just an evening stroll and a glass of wine.
