Carros
Carros is a wonderful little village perched on a high rock overlooking the Var valley. Like so many of the popular spots on the Cote d'Azur, it is very old. The lovely chateau set in the centre of the village has been thoroughly renovated and now houses a contemporary art exhibition.
The village is quite high up, so offers the most breathtaking panoramic views of both the Alps and the Mediterranean coastline only 20 minutes away. It is a great place to spend a holiday if you're looking to have the true French culture experience, in a quiet but beautiful location.
