Stairs lead to the first floor where there are 3 bedrooms. The first has a double bed and overlooks the courtyard. It has an adjoining room which has a single bed in it so could be used for a child and this then leads to an ensuite with shower, basin and WC.
Bedroom 2 has a double bed and bedroom 3 has two twin beds and a large walk-in cupboard.
There are fans in all bedrooms and they all have original red tiled floors.
There is a cot available at the property but please bring your own cot linen.

Large bathroom with shower cubicle, bath with shower attachment, basin and WC.

The courtyard is totally private and not overlooked at all – it gets the sun until mid afternoon and then becomes a shady place to get away from the sun for some quiet reading time.
Utility room with washing machine and drier.
From the courtyard you access the huge barn which has been equipped for children’s games – there is a floor covering which can be unrolled to provide an ideal surface for the children to play badminton and basketball etc. There is also a dartboard and several bikes which you are free to make use of although bike hats etc are not provided and you would be expected to repair any punctures you have.

The lively town of Beziers which is especially vibrant in August for the annual Feria, a 5 day long festival. Perhaps the best flower market in the south of France on Fridays in the beautiful tree-lined main boulevard. Lots of fascinating shops in the little cobbled lanes in the old town.
Lovely walks along the nearby Canal du Midi - this international heritage site links the Atlantic and Mediterranean coast. Beautifully shaded tow-paths ideal for walking or cycling with many cafés and bars dotted along the banks or many opportunities to take a boat ride or rent one of your own.
Cycling and walking – whether you like an easy stroll in the countryside or something more adventurous there are walks nearby to meet your needs. Area also very well suited for cycling with plenty of flat paths but also many more challenging ones if wanted!
Narbonne is a bustling town with lots of shops and restaurants, well worth a visit is the indoor food market. We recommend the restaurant "Chez Babelle".
St Chinian – lively town with super Sunday morning markets, well worth a visit.
Roquebrun (called "Little Nice"), a gorgeous medieval hilltop village with a bathing river. Mediterranean garden to visit right at the top of the village. Great Kayaking activities and facilities on the river Orb.
Carcassonne – a medieval town with its exceptionally well preserved citadel and walled town only 40 minutes away.
Pezenas – City of Molière with quite exceptional old world charm and architectural heritage. Numerous arts and crafts shops and workships open to the public and a popular extensive Saturday market.
Haut-Languedoc Regional Nature Park consists of gorges, the Lac de Salagou and is a beautiful area only 30 minutes drive away, with its stunning gorges and superb walking, hiking, river rafting, watersports and carp fishing.
Bassin de Thau – a calm inland sea teeming with fish. A breeding place for oysters and shellfish, producing over half the oysters consumed in France. Ideal for windsurfing and sail boarding. Villages, such as Bouzigues and Meze, have many restaurants serving sumptuous platters of fresh shellfish.
Cap D’Agde and Gruissan – these two towns offer everything you might wish from the Mediterranean. Both have fun water parks and offer a range of water sports and sailing opportunities with lovely clean beaches nearby. Other quieter beaches are not far away for those who prefer some privacy.
Golf courses nearby at Béziers (St Thomas) and Cap d'Agde.
Spain - an hour's drive to the border. Barcelona - approximately 3 hours drive.
The house is situated in the centre of the village of Cruzy which has all essential amenities including baker, grocery, butcher, chemist, bar/tabac.
There is also an excellent restaurant within a 20 minute walk.
Market in Cruzy square on Tuesday and Friday mornings.
There are tennis courts in the village as well as a rugby pitch and a well equipped children's playground.
A great village festival is held in August, please ask us for dates.
The nearest beach is Narbonne Plage, around 30 minutes drive and both Narbonne and Beziers are about 25 minutes away.

We ensure that your every request is dealt with promptly and to your satisfaction. Our business is based on Goodwill and thankfully our clients keep returning to Maison Cruzy with their families. Cleanliness is our ethos and we strive to ensure a very welcoming house awaits you.
We absolutely love Cruzy as a village with its excellent location in the heart of the vineyards and yet in close proximity to the Canal du Midi (5 minutes), Narbonne, Beziers, the mountains/lakes and beaches. The village boulanger is renowned for his super baking. There is a grand little village bar to catch up on the sport of the day and relax with the locals.
We've set Maison Cruzy up as a home-from-home and this is verified by the Testimonials that our clients have kindly written for us and which can be seen on the South France Holiday Villas website.
We look forward to welcoming you to our 'Home-From-Home'.
CRU104 - PREVIOUS GUEST COMMENTSHi Juliana,We had a very early flight home from France on Saturday so totally forgot to leave a note for Miles. Can you please let him know that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Cruzy. It was an absolutely perfect week. Thanks to you also for organising everything for us.Kind regards, Michelle (June 2012)"The house and pool area were impeccable. A very pleasant stay, the local restaurants were fantastic as well." - Michelle (2012)If you think the photos look good – wait ’til you stay there! We’re not long back from a glorious two weeks in Maison Cruzy. 10 of us in total (aged 7 – 77), really tested the capacity of the house – amazingly it didn’t feel at all cramped, though you will of course have to plan a little as to who goes where. For all the chefs, the kitchen is very well equipped, ready for the wonderful produce of local markets. If there’s anyone who can’t survive without good WifF, you won’t have to worry about withdrawal symptoms. We spent a lot of time enjoying the wonderful pool area, but the barn was a huge hit with the children (old and young), with so much to do there when the sun got a little too hot. The village itself is very quiet with a good bakery and butcher, but a car is essential. There’s a lovely restaurant (Le Terminus) about 20 mins easy walk out of town. We thoroughly enjoyed our day trips to Roquebrun for river kayaking, Mediterranean garden, and great family lunch (and views) at le Petit Venice. Le Gorge d’Heric is definitely worth at least one visit (more if you’ve time). Minervois is stunning, St.Chinian market really good for picnic fare, Beziers has its own charm, Champs Blanc vineyard was sampled and approved of but no doubt there are many great ones, and some of us had a wonderful time horseriding near Bize Minervois (L’Appaloosa – lovely people) while others preferred bathing in the river there. Paddy and Emer were really helpful to us with information before we got there, and their man on the ground, Miles, could not have been more helpful and unobtrusive. The house has great old style Languedoc charm, with lots of original features. The inner courtyard table is a great family hub for happy nights watching the swallows/swifts with a nice glass. Treat yourself!”The Connolly/Mc Caughey Family, Dublin, July 2012.We stayed here for a week with 3 adults and 2 children aged 6 and 7, the house was fantastic for us. We were spoilt for choice with the number of bedrooms, and bathrooms, all delightfully presented and very clean. This is a stunning French property and you can’t help but admire it when you stay here. The owners kindly leave it very well equipped, everything you need is at hand, the kitchen has a great big dining table and leads straight onto an enclosed courtyard with another large dining table, just perfect for evenings spent catering for yourselves. The pool is a great size for kids with plenty of space around it for them to play, and the barn area was wonderful, a safe area locked from the pool where again the owners kindly leave plenty of games and toys for use during your stay. Can’t fault it at all!!!Beaches we went to from here were Valras Plage and Serignan Plage, both lovely in June, I understand Valras Plage becomes rather busy in high season. We ate at La Sallette in Bize (on the main road back towards Carcassonne) and had a great meal, and Les Grand Buffets in Narbonne is well worth a visit for a fantastic all-you-can-eat buffet! We went to Carcassonne on the one cloudy day we had and visited the castle, ramparts and medieval city, again well worth a trip.Lovely house, made for a lovely holiday!”The Bonner Family, UK, June 2012
