About Maison Cruzy
Enter into a spacious hall. There are two lounges, on opposite sides of the corridor, one could be for the children and the other for the adults! The largest living room has a sofa, 2 armchairs, a TV with Free to Air satellite channels (more if you bring your own card or fire stick) and a DVD. The second living area is perfect for a quiet reading room or a comfortable area to use the internet. There is wifi throughout the property for those bringing their laptops. Separate WC and basin off the hall. The first living room leads into the smart kitchen which has a large fridge, dishwasher, a double sink, oven, hobs and doors onto the courtyard. There is also a large wooden table to seat 8 in the kitchen or you could eat out in the courtyard on another table, again to seat 8 easily. Stairs lead to the first floor where there are 3 bedrooms. The first has a double bed and overlooks the courtyard. It has an adjoining room which has a single bed in it so could be used for a child and this then leads to an ensuite with shower, basin and WC. Bedroom 2 has a double bed and bedroom 3 has two twin beds and a large walk-in cupboard. There are fans in all bedrooms and they all have original red tiled floors. There is a cot available at the property but please bring your own cot linen. Also on this floor is a shower room with large walk in shower, large basin and WC. Upstairs again to the 2nd floor where there is a very large bedroom with air-conditioning and beamed ceiling with roof skylight. There is a double bed, a TV with Free to Air satellite channels and a video player as well as a lounge area with sofa. Doors lead from the bedroom onto a private, unoverlooked terrace with coffee table, bench and chair where you can take your morning coffee or a late night drink. Large bathroom with shower cubicle, bath with shower attachment, basin and WC. One further bedroom with single bed which would share the bathroom with the double room on this floor. OUTSIDE The courtyard is totally private and not overlooked at all – it gets the sun until mid afternoon and then becomes a shady place to get away from the sun for some quiet reading time. Utility room with washing machine and drier. From the courtyard you access the huge barn which has been equipped for children’s games – there is a floor covering which can be unrolled to provide an ideal surface for the children to play badminton and basketball etc. There is also a dartboard and several bikes which you are free to make use of although bike hats etc are not provided and you would be expected to repair any punctures you have. The pool is 8m x 4m and is 1.4m deep with steps at one end. The pool has a patio surround for sunbathing space and there is a built in BBQ in one corner. It has the sun all day long. There is also an exterior solar shower and lighting so the pool area can be used in the evening as well. The second outside area is a private terrace on the ground floor where there is a large table for eating meals outside. The third outside area is the rooftop terrace from which the church spire can be seen and is a perfect place for relaxing. Rear gates lead to a lane to provide a second access. Parking on the road directly outside the house or private parking by the property’s rear access.

Location and Map

The lively town of Beziers which is especially vibrant in August for the annual Feria, a 5 day long festival. Perhaps the best flower market in the south of France on Fridays in the beautiful tree-lined main boulevard. Lots of fascinating shops in the little cobbled lanes in the old town.
Lovely walks along the nearby Canal du Midi - this international heritage site links the Atlantic and Mediterranean coast. Beautifully shaded tow-paths ideal for walking or cycling with many cafés and bars dotted along the banks or many opportunities to take a boat ride or rent one of your own.
Cycling and walking – whether you like an easy stroll in the countryside or something more adventurous there are walks nearby to meet your needs. Area also very well suited for cycling with plenty of flat paths but also many more challenging ones if wanted!
Narbonne is a bustling town with lots of shops and restaurants, well worth a visit is the indoor food market. We recommend the restaurant "Chez Babelle".
St Chinian – lively town with super Sunday morning markets, well worth a visit.
Roquebrun (called "Little Nice"), a gorgeous medieval hilltop village with a bathing river. Mediterranean garden to visit right at the top of the village. Great Kayaking activities and facilities on the river Orb.
Carcassonne – a medieval town with its exceptionally well preserved citadel and walled town only 40 minutes away.
Pezenas – City of Molière with quite exceptional old world charm and architectural heritage. Numerous arts and crafts shops and workships open to the public and a popular extensive Saturday market.
Haut-Languedoc Regional Nature Park consists of gorges, the Lac de Salagou and is a beautiful area only 30 minutes drive away, with its stunning gorges and superb walking, hiking, river rafting, watersports and carp fishing.
Bassin de Thau – a calm inland sea teeming with fish. A breeding place for oysters and shellfish, producing over half the oysters consumed in France. Ideal for windsurfing and sail boarding. Villages, such as Bouzigues and Meze, have many restaurants serving sumptuous platters of fresh shellfish.
Cap D’Agde and Gruissan – these two towns offer everything you might wish from the Mediterranean. Both have fun water parks and offer a range of water sports and sailing opportunities with lovely clean beaches nearby. Other quieter beaches are not far away for those who prefer some privacy.
Golf courses nearby at Béziers (St Thomas) and Cap d'Agde.
Spain - an hour's drive to the border. Barcelona - approximately 3 hours drive.
The house is situated in the centre of the village of Cruzy which has all essential amenities including baker, grocery, butcher, chemist, bar/tabac.
There is also an excellent restaurant within a 20 minute walk.
Market in Cruzy square on Tuesday and Friday mornings.
There are tennis courts in the village as well as a rugby pitch and a well equipped children's playground.
A great village festival is held in August, please ask us for dates.
The nearest beach is Narbonne Plage, around 30 minutes drive and both Narbonne and Beziers are about 25 minutes away.

owner profile
We ensure that your every request is dealt with promptly and to your satisfaction. Our business is based on Goodwill and thankfully our clients keep returning to Maison Cruzy with their families. Cleanliness is our ethos and we strive to ensure a very welcoming house awaits you.
We absolutely love Cruzy as a village with its excellent location in the heart of the vineyards and yet in close proximity to the Canal du Midi (5 minutes), Narbonne, Beziers, the mountains/lakes and beaches. The village boulanger is renowned for his super baking. There is a grand little village bar to catch up on the sport of the day and relax with the locals.
We've set Maison Cruzy up as a home-from-home and this is verified by the Testimonials that our clients have kindly written for us and which can be seen on the South France Holiday Villas website.
We look forward to welcoming you to our 'Home-From-Home'.

Beautiful Villa in the heart of the vineyards. Paddy was always on hand to respond to queries and the layout of the villa was spacious and a pleasure to spend time in.
