About Far Far Away
Far Far Away is a comfortable villa overlooking the vineyards and the village of Marcorignan, about 8km from Narbonne. This house is the ideal spot for family get-togethers thanks to the 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, large enclosed garden and private salt-water swimming pool.
The property is down the end of a lane overlooking vineyards - enter through a metal gate and park your car in one of about 3 private spots in the drive.
The outside area is definitely the highlight of the property thanks to the lawn, the flowers and the private salt-water swimming pool (please note that the water does not taste like seawater, nor does it sting your eyes).
You'll find a shaded outdoor dining area with seating for around 12 to 14 people, a pizza oven and a permanent BBQ, as well as a fridge in the garage annexe.
The garden is large and surrounds the property, so sun traps and shade are all available. There are various fruit trees that can be picked by guests.
The swimming pool is 10m by 5m and has a maximum depth of 1,6m, so supervision is necessary. It is a salt pool, so there is no stinging experienced by chlorine pools. The cover is a security requirement and must be closed when the pool is not in use or there is no supervision. There is a full set of outside seating and sun umbrella, as well as poolside loungers.
There is a large barn on the property which has a games room on one end with a pool table, table tennis and darts.
To the front of the villa is a terrace that runs the length of the villa and catches the afternoon sun, there is a terrace to the rear of the property which is accessed through the lounge which enjoys the morning sunshine and is an ideal place for breakfast there are patio chairs and table to accommodate this.
The inside of the house is simple, comfortable and functional. The kitchen is fully equipped with a gas hob, a large fridge/freezer, dishwasher and a breakfast bar, as well as all of the usual kitchen equipment. Along from the kitchen is the open plan dining room/lounge area - the lounge has a corner sofa which can easily seat up to 6 people and there is an extra sofa opposite the wood burner - this can be converted into a sofa bed if needed. The TV is a large smart TV which picks up the house's internet signal and French TV.
There are 4 bedrooms in total - three doubles and one room with two sets of bunk beds. There is a family bathroom with a bath, a shower, a WC and double sinks, with a separate WC next door. There is also a second bathroom in the basement (right next to the separate WC and very accessible) with a shower, sink and WC.
