If you're looking for a large, typically French house for your holiday this is a great option. The grounds are a haven of peace and greenery and the pool area is simply bliss! The nearby village of Villeneuvette has a couple of restaurants and is really one-of-a-kind, it used to be the grounds of a large textile factory that has been repurposed and it is simply lovely to wander the little streets and alleys. The nearby Lac du Salagou has some great beaches and there is a brilliant area for walking near Mourèze. A real gem!
Don’t just take my word for it … see what our guests thought.
About Le Moulin de Villeneuvette
Le Moulin de Villeneuvette is your own private paradise and comes very highly recommended by our team. This property is ideal for families or groups of friends who are looking to holiday together, whilst retaining their own space. The large house is separated into two separate living spaces with separate entrances, providing 2 kitchens and 2 living rooms with 6 bedrooms total, a very large garden with a lot of private areas with sunbeds and tables, a beautiful private swimming pool complete with a summer kitchen and outdoor dining.
This picturesque 16th centre home is situated just outside the small village of Villeneuvette in the Languedoc region - the village is within walking distance and has a couple of very beautiful bars, as well as a fantastic weekly market. Clermont l'Hérault, a thriving little town, is just 5 minutes drive away.
The house features all of the modern amenities that you will need in order to have a comfortable holiday, combined with the beautiful antique architecture and typical countryside surrounding.
Enter the property through gates that lead down a private drive - your first view of the house will take your breath away. There is enough parking for a few cars in front of the house.
The main house consists of 4 bedrooms that have all been beautifully decorated - there are 2 double bedrooms, a twin bedroom and a family bedroom consisting of 3 single beds. One of the bedrooms has a beautiful adjoining terrace with sunbeds and a table and chairs, giving you your own private outdoor area within the grounds.
Downstairs is a beautiful conservatory overlooking the lawned grounds that is equipped with a sofa and armchairs, making the ideal place to relax; this room leads to the dining room and fully-equipped kitchen. Every detail has been perfected in this property, giving you a complete home away from home with everything that you could need. There is also a wine-cave on this floor that provides extensive indoor dining opportunities.
The second part of the house is located up some stairs - the front door opens into the lounge area equipped with a sofa and 2 armchairs. This part of the house has a double bedroom and a twin bedroom, as well as another fully-equipped kitchen and a bathroom with shower, WC and sink.
On the top floor of the property is a large room that has previously been used as a yoga studio.
The outside area is one of the main highlights of this property - the grounds extend far and wide and are all lawned. The swimming pool area will be the place that you won't want to leave, and you won't have to as it has everything you'll need for a day in the sun! There is an outdoor dining area on the pool terrace, a summer kitchen, a WC and of course, the beach-style stone swimming pool that overlooks the grounds.
The large garden surrounds the entire house and provides complete privacy. There are mountain bikes available for your use, as well as a car if needed.
If you're interested in holding an event here, please enquire. There is a very large space available behind the house that is absolutely stunning, with a very Romanesque feel due to the large stone walls and beautiful trees within the courtyard.

Location and Map
This marker is for indication purpose only
The Languedoc region is famous for its many vineyards and there are a lot of them with in 30 minutes reach by car. You can find everything from more established vineyard to the small family owned. You can normally just drop by and pay 5 - 10 euros for a instant wine-tasting.
MOUNTAIN BIKE TRAIL
There are a lot of mountain bike trails around the area with different difficulty levels. Our personal favourite is the one around the lake "Lac Du Salagou" which offers a beautiful view of the lake and a pitstop for a glass of wine or some water.
A TOUR DOWN THE RIVER
Rent a couple of canoes and take a tour down the river. See some beautiful surroundings and get a relaxing experience. There is also a small river bar where you can stop on the way with your canoe.
THE FRENCH VILLAGES
Around the countryside there are a lot of picturesque villages for you to visit. Perfect for a stroll around the town and lunch made with local produce. Visit some local artisanal shops and end with a café creme at the town square. A must visit during your stay is Pézenas.
If you go into Clermont L'Herault during a Wednesday, you can visit the local market filled with organic meat and vegetables from around the area.
GO TO THE BEACH
Take a day at the beach. Cap D'Agde is around 40 minutes from the house. It is a wide long beach perfect for walking and with really nice beach clubs where you can rent a sun bed for around 15 euros. Our favourite is "Jungle Beach" with great lunch and a jungle-like decoration.
HOW TO GET HERE
There are many ways to get here, but we recommend that you fly to Beziers-Cap-d'Agde Airport or Montpellier Airport and then go by car to the house.
We recommend that you rent a car at the airport if you want to be able to move around freely during your stay.

Magical stay! The gardens are perfectly looked after (well done Serge!) Gorgeous pool. 3 very well equipped kitchens - one of them is outside by the pool, delightful. Great courtyard, lots of parking space. Great indoor dining room in the wine cave. Walking distance to Villeneuvette, really nice French village, and also close to lots of walking trails in nature. Nearest big town is Clermont L'Herault, only 10 minute driving to lots of big supermarkets. Completely exceeded all of our expectations. We will definitely be back!

We were 4 families and a dog and loved the place a lot. Very nicely renovated old mill with actually two separate units. So the teenagers stayed in the smaller unit with two bedrooms and a living room ( also been used as a bedroom) and a kitchen ( surprisingly enough not being used by the teenagers). The rest stayed in the bigger part of the house with four bedrooms. The kitchen in the house was very well equipped, including oyster knifes, but we hardly ever used it. The kitchen next to the pool was the place to cook! The pool area and the garden ( more like a park) are fantastic. We had so much fun there, so it was hard to convince the kids to go somewhere else. The house is within walking distance to Villeneuvette and you can walk there though the fields. There is a great bakery in Clermont d Herault which is just a 10 minutes drive. Serge, the housekeeper and gardener was helpful and discrete. Clara was always responding to messages within minutes! Thank you very much! Nothing to do with the house: It’s really difficult/ almost impossible to make a reservation in a restaurant for 14 people, at least in August. So we had to cook everyday in the great outdoor kitchen.

This place is amazing, surrounded by nature, a river and beautiful centennial trees. The house has everything and beyond you will expect. Great kitchen outside with all appliances and even a big speaker in front of the pool so we did not use the one inside. The bedrooms are beautiful and I can imagine even being there in winter enjoying the glass living room. We were 16 family members and had more than enough place for all. Kids enjoyed bike rides and exploring and we enjoyed the evening tranquility below centennial trees. The best week of the summer, hopefully we will return soon.
