Location and Map
This marker is for indication purpose only
This apartment is unusual for the old town in that is has a large terrace which overlooks the entire bay of Villefranche towards Cap Ferrat offering stunning views.
Please note that the apartment is in an historical village and is on the second floor so there are stairs to climb. Please pack as lightly as possible as the dress code is generally casual and you don't want to be carrying heavy bags up the stairs.
The view is really wonderful and if you like the character of the old together with the comfort of the new, then you will love it here.
You will find a small selection of the owner's paintings throughout the apartment giving the atmosphere of a home rather than an impersonal rental property. Guests come back time and time again
Air conditioning in the living room in case of any unusually hot weather.
The location is the best in town. Surrounded by restaurants and minutes from the sea front and beach. The train is seven minutes walk away. The street is a car free zone and parking is available close by in the public car park or the citadel.
However, a car is not essential as the public transport is excellent..
Artiste's Tresor is 90m².
Great restaurants, the beach and sea a few minutes walk away and the village full of history and charm. Best sandy beaches are at Cap Ferrat and Beaulieu, most of the ones in Villefranche sur Mer are made up of small pebbles.
The local shops are on the doorstep.
With its micro-climate it is perfect here all year round.
Without doubt this is one of the world's most romantic and beautiful locations, within easy access of Nice airport.
Villefranche sur Mer is only thirty minutes from Nice International Airport making it an easily accessible location from anywhere.
The Old Town: Harbour and Port
Dating from 1295, Villefranche-sur-Mer is rich in history and beauty. The village and area has a special atmosphere with all the warmth and charm of a fishing village from a bygone age.
The Old City, (dating from the 13th century) is well worth exploring with its narrow and picturesque streets with the facades of houses decorated in the 'trompe l'oeil' style.
Taking a stroll around the harbour and waterfront of Villefranche-sur-Mer rewards the effort with some suberb views and a journey through history.
Villefranche is is a deep water harbour which served as a base for the US Sixth Fleet for a time.
Tourist Office
Take a tour of the old town - it's well worth it!
Beach
Villefranche has its own lovely beach and the bay is beautiful for swimming. There are restaurants along the promenade serving wonderful food. My guests at Christmas last year took their roast dinner down and ate it on the beach as the weather can be lovely and famously warm and sunny on New Years day.
All amenities are within a few minutes' walking distance including shops, restaurants, beach and a village full of charm.
Nice
There is so much to do in this city that is only ten minutes away. The town has been and continues to be renewed and made more beautiful with modern trams reinstated to reduce pollution and traffic congestion. The central Place Massena is a vibrant beautiful place to sit and have a coffee.
This is a city by the sea with it's famous Promenade des Anglais and old town. Enjoy the daily flower market and discover more great and reasonably priced restaurants. There is also the superb summer jazz festival and carnival every year. The marvellous Chagal Museum and the Matisse museum are a must.
Monaco
Monaco is only half an hour from Villefranche by car or ten minutes on the train. Visit the famous Oceanographic museum which was made famous by Jacques Cousteau. Visit the Old Town, Palace and Cathedral and don't forget the Hotel de Paris and the Casino.
Monaco Grand Prix which takes place in May every year.
Eze Village
This is a lovely medieval village perched on top of a steep rugged cliff with wonderful views in both directions along the coast. It is only a short distance from Villefranche.
Restaurants
There are many lovely restaurants in Villefranche.
Food deliveries
The Supermarché in Beaulieu or Carrefour before the Port will deliver to your door.

Review for Artistes Tresor:
"A little slice of Heaven"
Review Submitted: 16 August 2013 Date of Stay: August 2013
"What a little gem Artistes Tresor is! My family (me plus my husband and three teenage sons) stayed here for a week and we couldn't have been more comfortable. We really felt like part of the community . The apartment is right in the old town on the second floor of an old building with great views over the bay. We spent hours sitting on the lovely little balcony happily watching the boats coming in and out of the bay. Tip: bring binoculars for better spying!
It was an easy stroll to all the restaurants in the town and the little supermarket is almost next door! The beach is also an easy stroll along the harbour wall. And the train station is a five minute walk down the hill and gives access to lots of interesting places up and down the coast - we made day trips to Eze and Ventimiglia in Italy.
The apartment is very comfortable and immaculately clean and felt like a home from home. The owner has a policy of leaving things that other guests have left so the kitchen had salt, pepper, sugar, tea, coffee, oil, vinegar, washing up liquid, dishwasher tabs and even some foodstuffs like rice and pasta etc. I have rented lots of properties and i have never seen this before - it made such a difference not to have to go out and buy all these things!
I cannot recommend Artistes Tresor highly enough!"

The apartment was exactly as advertised.
The apartment was exactly as advertised and has the most incredible views across the bay. Would definitely recommend both the apartment and Villefranche in general, peaceful yet buzzy with a wonderful beach and old town. Can't wait to go back!

Nice and spacious with an amazing view from the balcony.
The apartment was very nice and spacious with an amazing view from the balcony. It’s centrally located on a main street in the town with easy access to shops and the beach. The aircon was particularly nice during our stay as the weather was very hot during August. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to base themselves in Villefranche and do day trips to nearby places.

Thank you for a great time in Villefranche!
Thank you for the great time in Villefranche! Me and my children enjoyed everything a lot. Being close to the beach, having everything else also close - just a few minutes to walk, the beautiful view from the balcony, starting right from the main entrance for a great morning run. And with the help of the tourist Information the recharging of an electric car worked also really good! See you soon!
