Pézenas Markets

The Saturday morning markets in Pézenas are incredible. A good market covering fresh produce, textiles and artisan products. Pézenas market is a favourite with the holidaymakers and expats so you’ll hear a variety of languages being spoken here. Perhaps the market is not even so much about the market, it's about the entire experience of a market vibe in a village as ancient and special as Pezenas. 

Spend the morning in the market, have a refreshing lunch and then go wandering in the ‘petites ruelles’ behind the main square where there are lots of artisan shops. Whilst wandering, don’t forget to check out the architecture; Pézenas’ heyday was the 17th century and a lot of buildings date from that time or even earlier.
