La Bastide de Bruyère is a happy blend of English country house and Provencal villa with just a sprinkling of the exotic East. The property features luxury amenities in a beautiful natural setting. This is a family-owned home where a lot of love and thought have gone in to making it as comfortable and practical as possible without losing its essential style.
Located in the countryside just 15 minutes walk/2 minutes by car from the ever-popular and pretty village of Callian, you will love the extended views of Provence to be admired from the terraces.
Lovely walks are available from the front door, through the pine forest to the medieval village of Callian, a traditional 'perched' village with breathtaking views.
With space for up to 14 guests between a spacious main house and cottage, the villa is perfect for your family holiday in Provence.
One of the nicest things about this property is the big choice of where to sit, relax, sunbathe, eat and drink. Both the Main House and the Cottage have their own well-equipped dining areas so you can move around as the fancy takes you!

The property has been extensively and tastefully renovated and benefits from a nearly-new heated swimming pool.
The indoor kitchen is state-of-the-art with all modern appliances. Two dishwashers, two sinks, wine fridge etc. Large central island and dining table to seat up to 14 people. Opens into a 'snug'/TV area with open fireplace.

Lovely sitting room with Steinway mini-grand piano (Please ask for permission to play) and large open fire.
You'll find lots of 'surprise' areas with reading nooks, gentleman's club room and chess table etc.

Two Terraces one with fully-equipped summer kitchen (Ice Machine, Pizza Oven, Fridge, Gas Barbecue and Dishwasher) for al fresco dining for 10 and a great spot of evening drinks. The other Terrace leas off the dining room of the main house and has a Full Gas BBQ, Wine Fridge, Fridge and Ice Machine.

2 Extra roof terraces on second floor leading off from two of the bedrooms, both with loungers to hide away and read your book or just admire the stunning views of the countryside and provence mountains. Lovely view over the pool.

Main House:
Big kitchen opening onto the dining area.
Two spacious living areas - one 'formal' and one more 'comfy' for watching TV, fims etc.
4 x air conditioned bedrooms with en suite bathrooms.
Bedroom 1: Kingsize bedroom, with en-suite bathroom with bath, shower, double sink and WC. Juliet Balcony. Beautiful views from three windows.
Bedroom 2: Queen size bedroom (with a large terrace and 360° views). With en-suite bath and shower over.
Bedroom 3 and Bedroom 4: 2 x twin/double rooms, both with their own bathrooms and one with a roof terrace. Ground floor double/twin room with en suite shower and WC would be suitable for people with reduced mobility. There are regulation handles to assist mobility. Please note there are two steps to the outside areas.
Utility room with washing machine.
Guest toilet.

The Cottage:
Kitchen with island, salon, dining room to seat 6 people.
Wood-burning stove for the winter. TV.
The separate cottage has two bedrooms – one double and one 4-person bunk room – and one family bathroom with shower, sink and WC.
In addition, there is an extensive summer kitchen with pizza oven and wine cooler. Comfortable sitting area with swing seats and a fire pit.

Callian is a traditional Provençal village in the hills of the Var department, about 30 minutes from the Cote d’Azur, Cannes and Grasse. Callian is reckoned to be one of the beautiful villages in France and offers myriad restaurants, shops and cafés.

The village is overlooked by an impressive medieval castle and is small enough to explore on foot. Meander the cobblestone streets, stopping by family-run restaurants to sample local produce and browse independent art galleries.

Large supermarket available at Montauroux less than 5 minutes by car.

Nearby Lac St. Cassien offers a rrange of watersports including boats for hire, beaches etc.

Nice airport 40km, less than 1 hour. Flights with British Airways, EasyJet and Ryanair.
Toulon 75 minutes by car.

Callian has a good farmer's market every week so you can stock up on olives, cheese, roast chicken etc.

Golf: There are more than 30 golf courses within just one hour from the villa. Cycling:

Cyclisme: There are lots of cycle paths in the vicinity.

Spas: Pamper yourself at Le Domaine de Fayence or Four Seasons Resort, open to non-residents.

Équitation: Riding club just 5 minutes away.

Watersports: Sailing, kayaking etc at Lac Cassien. Also pedalos for mucking about on the water.

Children's activities: Marineland at Antibes or the zoo at Fréjus.
The Gorges de Verdon are spectacular and well worth touring up to the Lac de Sainte-Croix.

Grasse is the perfume capital of the world. You can tour and vist the main perfume factories - Fragonard, Galimard, Molinard etc.

    We had a great time

    Absolutely stunning property with everything we needed/wanted to have a relaxing time with family and friends. Well-equipped for great meals (used the pizza oven one night..absolutely fab). Beautiful outdoor dining areas made every night special. Boules, darts, croquet, a fantastic pool and lovely areas to sit and read (or just be) meant we had an array of choices to enjoy our holiday without having to leave the property. Thank you!
