  • We had an excellent stay in this fabulous house. There were 9 of us in our party and the accommodation was extremely comfortable at that level. All of the facilities were of a very high standard, with the property and grounds very well maintained by Daniel and Mireille, who were friendly and extremely helpful. The rooms were presented very well and the air-con in the main three rooms made life very easy on the occasional stuffy night. For a full party (15) I would have thought an additional fridge in the main house would have been a worthwhile addition, if only to chill the vast quantities of Rosé wine that have to be consumed when in the Alpilles area. It would also be helpful to have a BBQ a little closer to the house.

    The house is well placed for Eygalières (little to do, but plenty of restaurants - we went to three and the quality of the food was great), Cavaillon (a 
    bit of the same, but much bigger, and where would highly recommend a meal at Prévôt). Aix is a 40 minute drive away, but easily accessible and a lovely town. St Rémy is also very nice (but we prefer it when the market is not on, as it is absolutely packed then).

    There is a very good local taxi firm, who we found to be extremely reliable (0033 680 323 673) and the local boulangerie is extremely good and open seven days a week.

    This is our third visit to the area and was our most enjoyable - I'd highly recommend it.
