Seafront Apartment Grau d'Agde is a cosy 1st floor beachfront apartment with stunning views over the azure waters of the Mediterranean. The beach is only 10 meters away!
Located along the boulevard of Grau d'Agde, this is truly an ideal apartment if you are looking for a comfortable holiday by the sea. There is also an abundance of things to do nearby with restaurants, bars, and shops right on your doorstep.
The open plan accommodation comprises a kitchen, dining, and lounge area. There are 3 bedrooms and a family bathroom.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a large fridge/freezer, rotisserie fan oven, hob/extractor fan, dishwasher, washing machine as well as lots of crockery and glasses plus many smaller utensils and equipment.
The living room has a comfortable sofa and chairs, TV, DVD, CD player and radio. There is a dining area with a dining table with 6 chairs.
The balcony has 2 small tables and chairs, a BBQ and fabulous views over the sea.
Beach chairs provided. Wifi in the apartment. Free parking available close by.

The sea provides a fantastic, daily changing backdrop, it's an ideal place for relaxing in the sunshine, walking along the beach or settling down with a good bottle of wine to watch the sunset.
Le Grau d'Agde is a great place to visit for a family holiday, relaxing with friends or as a base to explore the Herault area.
From the village quay you can take sea, river or canal sightseeing trips, sea fishing trips and jet skiing. The local area offers golf, go-karting, canoe/kayaking, nature trails, diving, wine tasting, cycling and much more - full up to date details and costs are available in the village tourist information office.
Le Grau d'Adge is at the point the Herault River flows into the Med Sea and has 2 of the best family beaches in the area. One is 10 meters from the front door and the other is via a little ferry trip across the river to the Tamarissiare beach. 10-20 mins drive to a variety of other beaches like Cap d'Agde, Vias or Marsellian. The Herault River is 2 mins walk from the apartment and you can walk along the riverbank into the town of Agde (30 mins walk) where you'll also find the Canal du Midi.
Good golf courses in the area. Nearest at Cap d'Agde - 10 mins drive.
Water skiing in Cap d'Agde - 10 mins drive.
Once at the apartment a car is not essential.
Airports - Beziers, Nimes, Montpellier, Carcassonne - 1 hour drive. Toulouse & Perpingnan 2 hours, Barcelona 3-4 hours.
Ferry - From the Northern France sea ports Le Grau d'Agde is 9 - 14 hours drive.
Train - London - Agde train service runs daily (takes 8-9 hours, one change at Paris or Lille), taxi or car hire available at Agde station.
Free car Parking is available 20 meters away or 2 mins walk.
2 minutes walk to daily market and village shops.
Hypermarket complexes - 2 within 10 mins drive.
Agde, 5-10 mins drive.
Cap d'Agde, 5-10 mins drive.
Beziers, 15-20 mins drive.

2 minutes to daily market and village shops selling just about everything you could need – several bakers, 2 minimarkets, 2 cash points, 2 newsagents – selling newspapers in most languages – hardware store, beach and seaside goods, fishing equip, a tabac. There are several bars and many nice restaurants in all price levels. Ice cream bars all around and the restaurants along the riverfront have tables inside if wanted (air-conditioned) or outside under shade ore beachfront tables – the latter being a great place to watch the children play on the beach while you eat your meal in peace!
In July and August evening entertainment is available in nearby restaurants or bars (usually a live band, usually at weekends) and the local council put on an excellent weekly firework display. Generally all is quiet again by midnight - no flashing lights and music thumping out from bars and restaurants until the small hours!
The village shops have everything you'll need including daily newspapers in English (and most other languages). The essential shops are open all year plus from April - October there is a small daily market and a large weekly market.
The village has over 14 restaurants, cafes and bars (4 stay open all year).
For good wine and food (especially seafood) and for unfussy French living this area is a great place to visit and you will be amongst predominately French holidaymakers.

We had a great holiday in this apartment. The location was exceptional - just down the stairs to the boardwalk fronting a lovely beach: very child friendly with rocks to climb on, good value pedaloes and lots of space for sand excavation. Plentiful restaurants, bars and ice cream/ crèpe places, and with motorised sports available just round the corner on the river. The beach across the river was much less developed with a more laid back, natural feel. All very easy and relaxing. Lovely to sit with a lazy breakfast looking out at the sea and amazing sunsets at night, not mention to people watching and the prime view of the volleyball competition from the balcony.
The apartment was very well equipped. The third bedroom is small with little storage and would be a squeeze for two adults. However, this seems to be reflected in the reasonable high season rental fee. We did have a couple of minor problems which were sorted out very efficiently and pleasantly by phoning the company in England. (A reflection of the standard of our French - there was a local representative.) In fact throughout the care from SFHV was exceptional. They also booked a taxi from Montpelier for us as we were arriving late with young children. The icing on the cake was organising a 5.00pm checkout as there was no booking the next day or two.
Definitely want to stay again. Thank you.

We were a party of 6 adults.The two main bedrooms are excellent: the smaller is a bit of a squeeze for 2 adults (2 children would fit in nicely), but we managed well, and this small room has direct access to the very long balcony.We found that having the washing machine and dishwasher very convenient.Access to the beach (just over the road) market (daily) supermarket in the centre (small but well stocked) riverside (bars and restaurants) and transport (3 minutes walk to the bus stop) made it very easy living.The bars and restaurants on the front were also well used by us.The Grau is a superb family resort, with street entertainment and fireworks displays (the balcony provided an excellent view of the fireworks on the pier). A lot of families promenade on the front in the evening, when several days a week there are evening markets.I am particularly fond of oysters, obtainable at a very reasonable price with a glass of wine in the market square in the morning.The market in Agde Ville on Wednesdays is worth visiting. Getting the early bus is worthwhile, and there are good restaurants and bars on the Promenade and Quay there as well.We are hoping to repeat the experience next year."Dave - Newcastle upon Tyne - August 2010
