A spectacular Chateau set in the beautiful valley of the Hérault in Languedoc-Roussillon, only 2 miles from the fascinating town of Pézenas. The chateau can comfortably accommodate a total of 18 guests in 8 elegant bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. All bedrooms are air conditioned with TV. In addition, there are two 'Ecolodges' in the grounds to accommodate 4 guests. Inside the spacious chateau there are two large living rooms and an elegant dining room. This elegant chateau is very popular and offers good value for money for large groups. There is a large heatable pool for guests' enjoyment. Chateau La Lune has its own in-house chef so can also be booked on a fully catered or half-board basis. There is no self-catering option available. Flexible 2-night short stays throughout the year except for July and August (Saturday changeovers). FLEXIBLE START DATES except for high season. Pets may be accepted - please enquire. About Chateau La Lune
This spectacular UNESCO-listed Chateau is set in the beautiful valley of the Hérault in Languedoc-Roussillon, only 2km from the interesting and historic town of Pézenas.
The chateau can comfortably accommodate up to 18 guests in 8 elegant and air conditioned bedrooms. There is accommodation for a further 4 guests in the Ecolodges situated deep within the chateau parc.
Inside the spacious chateau there are two large living rooms and an elegant dining room.
Guests can wander around the magnificent garden and park that includes an orangery, a well and fountains. Alternatively, guests can enjoy a barbeque on the terrace or take a refreshing dip in the heatable pool.
This is the perfect property in which to celebrate a wedding, share an important anniversary, host an event, or enjoy memorable family holiday.
In addition, this magnificent chateau is only 20 minutes from Béziers and the beaches of the Mediterranean.
With so much to do locally (rafting, canoe, beach, historical towns) you'd wish you had a second week to relax in the glorious chateau grounds!

OUTSIDE
The Garden and the Parc
A vast shady parc has a lawn and an orangery, a well and fountains. There is a large parking area. For marriages and receptions, there is a supplementary parking area within the confines of the property.
The Terrace
There is a terrace, fitted with a large table, wrought iron chairs and a barbeque.
The Chapel
The domaine has its own beautiful chapel.
The Orangery
In the middle of the parc, the orangery is a welcoming place which can serve as a ballroom. It can also be used for other activities (workshops, dance, yoga, massage, courses, seminars...). There are black and whiteboards available for seminars and desk-bound classes.
The Chapiteau
A wonderful space for large groups (weddings etc) to dine and dance, attached to the Orangery.
The Pool
A large heatable pool (13 x 5 meters) is at your disposal for your holiday stay, for complete relaxation.
The chateau and its extensive grounds offer a wealth of space and little corners to rest, relax and hide away in. To get about with ease, a golf buggy is at your disposal.

Layout
All bedrooms in the chateau have en suite bath/shower rooms, air conditioning, TV, and tea and coffee-making facilities. All beds are king-sized.
Ground Floor:
The entrance hall is complemented by a lovely staircase that sets the scene for the rest of this unique building.
Reading and Music Room:
A comfortable yet elegant living rooms which opens on to the parc. The Music Room comes to life, for music lovers, around the grand piano. For marriages, anniversaries and fetes etc. The room is sufficiently large for dancing.
Games Room:
Large wall-mounted TV and working fireplace.
Dining Room:
The elegant dining room has an ornamental fireplace centre-piece and an 18th century hand-basin in Caunes marble. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are usually served here and can be enjoyed with views over the extensive parc.
Shower Room 1: Shower, sink and WC on ground floor.
Bedroom 1: Aresquiers
Double bed, sofa and TV.
En suite bathroom with bath, sink and WC. (Please note, the bath is 'sunken' and accessed down three steps so not suitable for people with reduced mobility).
First Floor:
The large first floor landing gives access to the bedrooms. This mezzanine area offers a quiet salon for relaxing and reading.
Bedroom 2: Sainte-Marie
This large suite can be used as a family room. It is furnished with a double bed and has a smaller double bedroom connected to it for the children.

Bedroom 3: St-Clair
A slightly smaller bedroom with double bed.. No TV, but air conditioned with tea and coffee-making facilities.

Bedroom 7: St Guilhem - The Bridal Suite
Very large suite with easy chairs to entertain the bridesmaids, mother of the bride and other guests dropping by. The wonderful carved wooden bed is 200cm wide (can be split into large singles).
En suite bathroom offers a sunken bath, walk-in shower, sink and WC.
Bedroom 8: Les Demoiselles
Mid-size room with view to garden.

Ecolodges:
These two gites each accommodate 2 people. They come fully equipped with azir conditioning, kitchenette, Italian walk-in shower, king-sized bed, air-con, TV and dry toilets. (Please enquire for further information).

Le Chateau La Lune is situated in the valley of the Hérault in Languedoc-Roussillon, ideally placed 2km from Pézenas and 20 minutes from Béziers and the beaches of the Mediterranean.
Activities and tourism in the surrounding areas:
Pézenas, the town of Molière, offers you a great choice of boutiques, restaurants, cafes, craft shops as well as, on every Saturday, its grand market. In high season, twice weekly, all the small shops stay open until midnight.
There are numerous tourist attractions and leisure activities within easy reach: the Cité de Carcassonne, Montpellier, Nîmes and its famous arenas, Aigues-Mortes, the Canal du Midi, the Lac du Salagou, the Port and the Canals of Sète, Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert, the Grotte des Demoiselles, the Grotte de Clamouse, Lamalou-les-Bains, the caves of the Wine producers, several golf courses, many festivals of music (Jazz festival at Sète, festival de la Cité), as well as wonderful walks, cycle rides, kayaking, canoeing and horse-riding.

A large pool (15m x 5m x 2.15m deep) with rigid cover and securely fenced. Heatable on request. Pool is open 10am - 8pm May to October with parents' supervision. (No food or drink allowed in the pool area, except for drinking water).
All bedrooms are equipped with air conditioning (except Ecolodges), TV, coffee and tea machine.
Central heating is available for the cooler months.

Please note that the Ecolodges have been designed to be kind to the environment. They are spacious and offer air conditioning, a kitchenette, Italian shower and private terrace. However, this is "glamping" (glamorous camping) so the toilets use dry compost, not running water. If you've not experienced this before, you will be pleasantly surprised at how efficient this system is - and uber-considerate for the environment!
