Moroccan Paradise has proved to be one of our most popular properties and if you visit, you will see why immediately. It is located between two popular villages so you get double the choice of restaurants etc. The interiors are decorated tastefully and have lots of character; this is not a bland 'IKEA-style' property. The upper 'oriental-influenced' terrace which gives the house its name is particular popular. I personally loved the kitchen which, on a hot Mediterranean day, seemed really cool and inviting. The house lends itself equally well to winter holidays and we have had several groups spending cosy, happy Christmasses here. Highly recommended, also for people with reduced mobility.
Don’t just take my word for it … see what our guests thought.
About Moroccan Paradise
Beautifully appointed holiday home with up to 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms featuring huge living spaces and light. There is a vast open-plan living room, dining room and kitchen all in one, as well as a 100 m2 terrace and downstairs cloakroom/utility room.
The kitchen, with its cream walls and green tiles together with the light and space, gives the feel of a cool dairy, thoroughly welcome on a hot Mediterranean afternoon. The downstairs en suite double bedroom offers an excellent chance for elderly parents or somebody in a wheelchair to share a great summer holiday with the rest of the family.
This property was fully renovated in 2012 as a second home for an English family, and is now ideal for families and couples. It has been renovated and decorated very tastefully successfully blending ancient and modern. As it was used as a family home it is well-equipped. This beautiful property is available for holiday lets (minimum stay 1 week) and possibly long lets off season.
On the edge of the historic village of Puissalicon, with its chateau, local shops and bar. It is also within walking distance of Magalas, with a choice of restaurants, a wide range of shops and a supermarket.
OUTSIDE
What makes this property so special is its 100m² first floor terrace decorated with hints of a Moroccan-style souk offering spectacular views across the fields towards the village and back to the mountains – particularly impressive at sunset.
Also outside, there are a heatable 9m x 4m pool (chlorine) surrounded by irrigated lawn, mature trees (including apricot and fig – delicious freshly picked for breakfast), a south-facing wall with beautifully trained roses, and many flowering shrubs. The garden is almost wholly un-overlooked. There is also a seating area for 8 people and a barbecue. The pool and garden are accessed from the kitchen through enormous bespoke-crafted French windows and also from stairs leading down from the terrace. The pool can be fenced to protect small children. This is a portable fence and if you require it to be erected please inform SFHV when booking.

Having seen the promotional photographs, it's usual to be mildly disappointed by the actuality, when the property has suffered from the predations of careless holidaymakers.
This was the exact opposite. I'm temped to say that the photos don't do it justice. The villa sits between two beautiful southern France towns, with glorious sunset views from the upstairs terrace across the fields to Puissalicon. The downstairs living space is huge, beautifully uncluttered and tastefully decorated. The rooms upstairs are delightful, and as for that incredible terrace...
My son is wheelchair-bound, so disabled access was important. We identified a couple of areas where improvement was possible, and they've been passed on to the owners. However, this is easily the most accessible accommodation we've experienced, and allowed Tom to be far more independent than is usually the case. As a result he had a hugely enjoyable and relaxed stay at this beautiful property. I'm tempted to say it was utterly terrible and to be avoided at all costs, in the hope of its availability when we return next year. And we most definitely will.
Oh, and a final word regarding South France Holidays: The service and responsiveness (and humour) we experienced from Caroline was flawless. Thank you again for a memorable holiday in magnificent surroundings.

A fantastic villa for a large family get together. Lots of different areas to enjoy and not be all on top of each other. Wonderful views from the terrace, a shady eating area in the garden, loungers by the pool, a comfortable corner with sofas and TV.. Open plan downstairs with cooling fans is ideal for preparing meals..Two types of barbecues gas or charcoal fantastic for evening suppers. Truly a great find and would definitely go back.

We had a fantastic time!
We stayed at this wonderful villa for two weeks with family, we had a fantastic time, very well equipped with everything we needed, the pool was awesome and the balcony was just what was needed after a long day for relaxing and watching the sunset. We did have an issue with the dining room chairs which has been passed on to the owners. Overall extremely happy.

We would certainly love to return in the future.
Moroccan Paradise Grande is indeed a lovely villa. We found the property ideal for our family group, with lots of (safe) space for young children to play in. The house itself is beautiful with a wonderful upstairs terrace looking across the fields towards the village of Puissalicon one way and the hills to the north the other – particularly spectacular just before sunset. The large kitchen is well equipped and the downstairs living area is very comfortable with a selection of books and toys available for guests to use. We were blessed with some lovely southern France August weather and so had plenty of time to enjoy the pool. It’s a pity we were not able to stay longer than a week but we would certainly love to return in the future. -

An unforgettable holiday!
The house was just as beautiful as in the photographs, full of character with plenty of space for 10 of us, children and adults, but at the same time it felt very cosy. There was space on the property for 3 cars. The location is perfect, quiet but just a 15 minute walk to the boulangerie in Magalas. The little village of Puissalicon is just 500m away. A large supermarket a short drive. We were so happy with the house and countryside, walking round the vineyards, (a little playground nearby for the young children) and cooking in the well-equipped kitchen that we spent most of the time ‘at home’. We did enjoy a visit to Pézenas though with its historic centre full of interesting artisan shops. Ours was a winter break (the house was comfortably warm, both in the bedrooms and downstairs) but I’m sure the summer must be equally good and maybe in the future we can return to enjoy the swimming pool and barbecue. We thoroughly enjoyed a special Christmas get-together and are grateful to the owner for making this possible.
