Lac d'Arques

For non-sea beach swimming you could try the Lac d'Arques which is very pretty with abundant water lilies. The water here gets quite warm in the summer so it's popular with anybody who can't bear their water freezing. Very close to the Chateau d'Arques, a 13th century fortified house. Lovers of historical architecture will appreciate the construction of the chateau as it demonstrates the advances in military architecture of the period.
