About Appartement Rive Droite
The gite is part of a larger property which consists of the owners house, a fabulous restaurant and a second gite.
The gite is around 60m² and is on the first floor of the building. You enter through a door beneath the terrace and walk up the staircase to the landing. The front door of this gite is on your right.
It has a large, open terrace of 50 m² which overlooks the swimming pool and the Canal du Midi.
The kitchen is open plan and has a fridge, oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine. Double doors lead onto the terrace.
There are two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with twin beds.
One bathroom with a walk in shower, a basin and separate WC.
Very tastefully furnished and decorated throughout.
The massive pool area has lots of room to bask in the sun and a view of the trees lining the Canal. It will be shared with the owners and the occupants from the other gites.

Large pool (11X6) (1m70 deep) secured by fence.
Patio seating for 8 in shade. 4 sunbeds. Parking spaces.

Layout
2 Bedrooms:
Bedroom One has a double bed. Large wardrobe. The decor is tasteful and well-designed.
Bedroom Two is set into the eaves and makes an ideal children's bedroom. It has 2 small single beds but a third could be put in if requested.
The lounge is smart and modern in style. There are 2 armchairs and a sofa. The TV does not receive UK television as yet.
The bathroom is hyper-modern with shower, basin and separate WC.
The kitchen leads off the lounge area and has a table and 4 chairs. It is well-equipped with
a dishwasher, microwave, washing machine, fridge/freezer, electric oven and hobs, coffee-maker, kettle and toaster.
From the kitchen, a door leads out onto the large and private terrace facing south-east. There are sun-loungers and a large table and chairs for eating 'al fresco'. The terrace cannot be looked down apart from the very occasional person walking past.

The gite is located just a 5 minute drive or a 20 minute walk to the pretty village of Colombiers which has many amenities, including cafés and restaurants.
The Domaine within which this Gite is situated has its own, very good restaurant which is open 7 days per week in high season. A 'Formule' at 24€ is available or you can choose from the A la Carte menu.
Five minute drive to nearest city of Béziers.
Also ten minutes away is the motorway which can take you to Montpellier, Carcassonne and Spain.
The gite is steps away from the Canal du Midi but is fully enclosed by a fence for safety.
The area is rich in lovely, typical southern villages. The old town centres, the markets, cafés and restaurants make these communities lively and welcoming.
The beautiful tree-lined Canal du Midi, which links the Atlantic with the Mediterranean, has miles of flat walks along its shady towpaths and is at the bottom of the garden.
At Vias Plage, there is a funfair open during July and August.
Cap d'Agde (25 minutes) has beaches and water sports, boat trips, beautiful harbour, golf, casino, fashionable shopping, nightclubs, waterfront restaurants, several children's theme parks and a fabulous water park (Aqualand).
Beziers, the nearest city, is 5 minutes drive away and has perhaps the best flower market in the whole of the south on Fridays in its beautiful tree-lined main boulevard.
Carcassonne Cité is well worth a visit, especially on jousting days!
Monasteries and castles abound in the area and there are plenty of vineyards where you can taste some of the best wines in France.
Cycling, fishing, golf, horse riding, mountain biking, swimming, tennis, walking, wine tasting, canoeing
Visit the Parc Natural de Haut Languedoc in the north, which is really rugged and offers fantastic walking opportunities.

The gite is newly renovated and everything in it is new.
Not for the elderly or infirm as there is a steep staircase leading up to the front door. Children should be OK but should be watched on the stairs.
Pool is fenced.
Visited by one of our team - very highly recommended.
The main house is connected to the villa, so the owners are on hand at all times.
