About Villa Bella

Villa Bella is a 'fisherman's house' and is furnished in attractive Provencal style, in a prime location on the sought-after south-facing bank of the River Giscle, pleasingly away from the bustle of the resort centre, yet within only two minutes walk of local shops, waterfront cafes and restaurants.

One of the joys of Port Grimaud is being able to park up the car and walk, and the off-street parking for one car behind Villa Bella’s gate makes this easy, convenient and safe.

Port Grimaud's sandy beach, with a gently shelving swimming area and its own excellent restaurant, is just 8 minutes level walk.

Ground Floor: Spacious, light and airy living / dining-room with TV/DVD, CD-player, dining table and chairs for six, and French doors onto the patio sun-terrace. Separate fully fitted kitchen with oven & grill, microwave, ceramic hob, 2 fridges, freezer, ice-maker and dishwasher. Separate cloakroom with wc, wash-basin and washer/dryer.
First Floor: Double bedroom with en suite bath/shower, wc and river-facing balcony overlooking the garden and pool. Second double bedroom with adjacent private shower/wc and views towards Port Grimaud centre.
Second Floor: Spacious master double bedroom with en suite bath, separate shower cubicle and wc. French doors open onto a large sun-terrace overlooking the pool, garden and the River Giscle, with wonderful views to the hills beyond.
All bedrooms have air-conditioning.

Exterior: Secure private off-road, gated parking at front. Garden to the rear with swimming-pool, sun-terrace with loungers and a table and chairs for six for al fresco dining. A few shallow steps (ungated) lead down from the end of the garden to the Giscle footpath, and your own private mooring for boats up to 14 metres. (Boats of all sizes can be hired locally - please enquire with South France Holiday Villas for more details).

Nearby attractions include 18-hole golf, “Aqualand“, ferries to St Tropez, horse-riding, bike-hire, watersports, minigolf and Provencal vineyards and hill villages to explore.

Location and Map

This marker is for indication purpose only

Less than 300 metres walk brings you to Plaçe Francois Spoerry, the square named after the founder and designer of Port Grimaud. A small mini-market caters for most day to day grocery needs, including fresh fruit and vegetables, and there are two restaurants here – one with a waterside terrace – and the excellent Café la Grimaudoise, which doubles as your local bakery and wine-shop, as well as serving meals from breakfast to dinner.

In the other direction is a delightful level walk of about eight minutes to the slightly smaller and generally quieter of Port Grimaud’s two main beaches. The sandy beach looks out across the bay to St Tropez, and a gently shelving swimming area is marked off with buoys to keep out passing boats. The beach restaurant here is ever popular, and you can’t beat its location or its view!

Nearby Attractions:
St Tropez and Ste Maxime are both easily reached by the local ferry service, and crossing the Gulf of St Tropez by ferry is so much more enjoyable than driving – not to mention finding somewhere to park!
Nearby Provençal hilltop villages such as Grimaud (6 kms), Ramatuelle (9 kms) and Gassin (7 kms) are also well worth exploring, and each has a small range of shops and some excellent restaurants to discover, in addition to just being delightful places to explore and stop for a coffee or an ice-cream while watching the world go by. There is also a little ‘road-train’ that runs regularly in season between Port Grimaud and Grimaud village – a lovely ride as long as you’re not in a hurry!
For more active days out, an 18-hole golf course, bike-hire, minigolf, diving and the Aqualand amusement park at neighbouring Ste Maxime are all within easy reach.

Customer Reviews

  • “What a fabulous house.  We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and the house had everything we could have wished for. We ate locally five days and nights, enjoyed St Maxime, St Tropez and went up into the hills to see friends of my parents. Wonderful week - thank you so much.”

“Just to let you know that we had a wonderful time at your beautiful villa, the weather was hot and sunny and the children thought it was all amazing, they did not want to come home!  Our grandchildren want us to book again so probably you will be hearing from us in the future! Once again thank you for a wonderful holiday.“

“We had a lovely time at Villa Bella earlier in the month.  The weather was great and we managed to get about well even without our own boat.  We’re now looking ahead to next summer  and would like to return to Villa Bella for the week Saturday 13th July 2016.”

“We returned from our break at Villa Bella last week and, as usual, had a lovely time. It was an absolute scorcher of a week so the pool was extremely welcome. We have had seven wonderful holidays there. Thank you so much for all your help and friendliness.”

“We had the most wonderful stay at VB. Thank you. We need to book for next year. Our boat trip over to Club 55 was fab. We will miss the house terribly and cannot wait to come back next year. Thank you for having us.”

“We had a great time again at Villa Bella. I did my boating license a few weeks in advance so was able to hire a boat for a day!  We definitely want to return, so we’ll be in touch in due course when I know what we’re up to.”

“Just a note to say thank you for letting us stay in Villa Bella in August. We all enjoyed it a great deal. The villa was lovely and position perfect for us, being slightly out of town but also not too far away on the boat for meals and shopping when needed. Noel looked after us very well and introduced us to someone who provided a small motor boat for our stay, which was ideal. Thank you again.”

September 2016  Just wanted to say thank you for another wonderful stay at Villa Bella. It was very sad to leave it on Saturday once again. I don't think there is a day that goes by that I don't think of Villa Bella, we have the lovely painting up on the wall, and one of your welcome postcards hanging from a cabinet - I know it won't be long before we are in touch again for another stay.”October 2016

“We are having a fantastic holiday at the Villa. It's a beautiful villa in a stunning location. We've had a family chat over breakfast this morning and we would like to book the villa for next year.”

“The family and I are back in the South of France this year and we are missing Port Grimaud!  We had such a lovely holiday at Villa Bella, we would like to return next year if it is available at the end of July?”
