It has been a fantastic return to Marseillan (after about 20 years), this time with an extended family including 4 grandchildren!
The villa has been absolutely perfect for us, so well equipped and organised as well as highly comfortable. Of course the pool has been an absolute success! All in all this has been a memorable stay, which will on our minds for a long time!
Thanks to Helen for sharing her marvelous house!
We enjoyed 10 days at Maison Helene in August 2017. The villa is very clean and tidy and the layout was perfect for us, with three bedrooms upstairs for us and our two children, and two further bedrooms downstairs, one with en suite bathroom. The two downstairs bedrooms are well separated from the rest of the ground floor as you go through a door and down a hall way. Perfect if you have relatives or friends who want a bit of peace and quiet. There is also a very modern bathroom on the ground floor which effectively serves as an en suite for one of the bedrooms on the ground floor (because the other bedroom has its own en suite). The kitchen has all the plates, cups, glasses and utensils you could wish for. There's a big fridge, lots of storage and a dish washer. The dish washer itself is in the separate utility room (along with the washing machine). This is not ideal but to be fair it is not much effort as the utility room is next door to the kitchen. The outside area is really nice. There is seating at the front of the house for those who want some peace and quiet away from the pool area. At the back of the villa where the pool is there is a large seating area, as well as an outside dining table and chairs. The pool was perfect - heated to a lovely temperature, good size and with a shallow and deep end. You are asked to cover the pool each night, which is not a problem - it only takes a couple of minutes. The villa is in a great location for walking to the town centre and harbour. Most of the restaurants are in the port and that is about 10 minutes walk. There is also a lovely bakery within 5 minutes walk where we bought fresh baguettes, croissant etc for breakfast each day. If you don't have a car there is a good Spar (small supermarket) in town about 7 minutes walk away. If you have a car, there is a big Carrefour supermarket within 5 minutes. In summary, a lovely villa, great pool and great location, perfect for a good family holiday.

It really was perfect - we loved it!
Marseillan is a special place and the villa was fantastic!
I have completed the questionnaire I believe but need to go on and do a review

We were very pleased with the wonderful bookings procedure, thanks once again! Also the photo's on the website were very accurate. This beautiful villa exceeded our expectations, cleanliness was impeccable, well equipped and ideal for families. We had a fantastic time, 9/10! - David Brown June 2015
MARS113 - We had a fantastic week here with friends. The house accommodated two families of four very comfortably. The house was bright, spotlessly clean and was very well equipped making it Home from Home. There was plenty of space and seating inside and out. The large TV (rarely used ) was great for the World Cup. We found the beds comfortable which has not always been our experience in France previously. The pool was large and as warm as a bath so the kids stayed in forever. We found the Garden furniture very comfortable and it was very sociable when barbequeing. A short walk (5 mins or so ) will get you into town or down to the pretty Port. There is a good selection of restaurants and we particularly enjoyed Chez Phillipe. I would recommend driving a little further towards Sète (Plage Villeroy) if going to the beach as Marseillan Plage can be a little crowded. Cafe Ola on Plage Villeroy was very good. The owner Helen was very professional from beginning to the very end.
