About Quatre Vents Gite
Whether it's the aromatic air, the incredible views, or the tranquillity. Quatre Vents Gite is where you can truly relax. Set on 22 acres of private grounds there is a wonderful feeling of space and getting back to nature. This brand newly renovated apartment is open-plan and furnished in a minimalist modern style with all mod cons. Wooden flooring throughout, with tiles in the kitchen and bathrooms.
There are two bedrooms, one double and one twin, and two bathrooms. It is an ideal location and setting for a family holiday. Toddlers are also welcome and cot and high chair can be provided on request.
Air conditioning. BBQ on the gite terrace as well as the pool terrace. Suitable for wheelchairs and people of reduced mobility.
There is a huge, 154m2 (22m x 7m, half-Olympic) swimming pool with a contemporary summer kitchen with a gas barbecue and dining area. Adjacent to this is the tennis court and nearby are the river, woods, and ponds so there is lots to explore. There are two outside decks which are great for alfresco dining, two BBQs, outdoor dining tables and chairs, umbrellas, lounge chairs, pool toys, and hammocks. Remember that the pool, tennis court, and grounds are shared with the owner, the apartment has a private terrace.
In the evenings all you will hear are the sound of the crickets and the frogs under bright, starry skies. Oh, and remember to watch out for the wild boar! Its location in the Aude and near to the Pyrenees means that the gite is a great base for road and mountain bikers. Or you can visit one of the many Mediterranean beaches.
The nearest village is Lagrasse, regularly voted one of the prettiest villages in France. With its medieval abbey and beautiful bridges spanning the river Orbieu, it is very special.

The nearest airport is Carcassonne (40 mins) followed by Béziers (1 hour); Montpellier (1.15 mins); Perpignan (1.15 mins) Toulouse (1.5 hrs); Girona (1.45 mins). The nearest station is at Lezignan. We recommend that you have the use of the car as we are in a rural area so need a car to explore the sites.
Distances
The nearest village is Lagrasse which is 5km away and this has all the services you require. Lezignan is about 20 minutes away and this has several large supermarkets. Carcassonne (La Cite medieval town; Saturday market) and Narbonne (Thursday market) are the nearest large towns and they are both 40 minutes away. The Minervois is about 30 minutes.
Coast/Beach
The nearest beaches are at Narbonne eg Gruissan beach or Les Chalets which are about 45 minutes away. A little bit further down the coast are the beaches of Leucate and La Franqui. The beaches in this part of France are wide and sandy and are never crowded. Kite surfing and wind surfing are popular.
Golf
The nearest golf courses are at Carcassonne, about 35 minutes away.
Skiing
There is great family skiing 3 hours away in the Pyrenees at resorts like Font Romeu, Les Angles and Les Bagneres in France and Bequeira Beret in Spain.

Fees and conditions
- Security Deposit: €500.00
- A deposit of 50% is required at the time of reservation.
- In case of cancellation less than 8 weeks before arrival date, the deposit is non-refundable; cancellation less than 4 weeks before arrival date, the full booking fee is non-refundable.
- Prices include gas, electricity, water, linen, towels and cleaning.
- Departure time for this gite is by 9am.

Cleaning/Towels/Linen/Maid service:
Towels and linen included. The property is cleaned pre and post bookings. If clients want cleaning during their stay this can be arranged at an extra cost.
Changeover Day is Saturday. Arrival time is after 4pm. Departure time is before 9am.
The house is well set-up for young children and includes a high chair, sun chair, plastic plates/cups/cutlery, cot, baby and toddler bed linen, toys, bath toys, wheel swings.

A little corner of French paradise
Wonderful stay with Emma and Bill in a little corner of French paradise, amazing views and location, a friendly and very helpful welcome, much needed air con and everything you need on site. Lovely modern and airy apartment on the side of their beautiful villa. We sincerely hope to be back.
