About Vigneron Luxury House and Apartment
The beautiful winegrower’s house is spread over three floors. Portions of the original structure are said to date back to the 17th and 18th century. The property is situated in the heart of the village of Caux, which certainly is really, really old and gorgeous.
The newly renovated house offers a modern kitchen with a Nespresso coffee machine, large Smeg gas cooker/stove with electric oven; a dining room that is ideal for long lazy dinners; and a roomy lounge with Orange-TV on the ground floor. All of these open onto the sun-dappled courtyard, with a plunge pool, large outdoor dining table for alfresco lunches, and a covered patio for summer cocktails.
There are two spacious bedrooms, each with its own shower room, fan, heating, hairdryer and double doors leading onto a balcony that spans the length of the building. One bedroom has a queen size bed, and the other has two single beds. These rooms sandwich a comfortable lounge, and there is a smaller lounge with a bar fridge that opens onto a large terrace that overlooks the courtyard – the perfect setting for sundowners or a leisurely morning coffee.
The extra large open plan attic, with additional light streaming in from skylights, completes the house and is a great private, romantic space. Here you'll find a king size bed, small lounge, dining area, desk, bar fridge, and en-suite bathroom with shower and tub. Also included is a fan (air con will be installed before the next summer season), heating and hairdryer.
With two bakeries a stone's throw away, you can take a two-minute stroll for your early morning croissant (or a variety of other pastries and bread) to enjoy with your freshly brewed coffee, setting yourself up for a full day of exploring or for simply lazing by the pool with a good book and the company of friends or family.
And if you're not in the mood to cook, pop in to the local restaurant or pizza and kebab joint for great food and a chance to hang with the locals. A fish and chips food truck, as well as a pizza truck, visit Caux once or twice a month for your takeaway fix. Otherwise, there is a small coffee shop that stocks basics, and a fabulous butchery where you can also get fresh veg and other essentials.

In addition, there is a separate apartment accessed from the other side of the courtyard which offers a comfortable, spacious self-catering escape for a couple who want to immerse themselves in village life. This space can be rented separately in off-peak season and is perfect for a winter sabbatical or artist's retreat.

- Seven nights Saturday - Saturday during July and August. Four nights minimum out of season at 70% of weekly rate.
- Not suitable for under 12's.Heating in bedrooms only.
- One small well-behaved dog only with prior agreement from the owner - 50€ per week.
- Bath towels, pool towels, linen and end of stay clean included.
- Security deposit to be paid on arrival and refunded (less any damage or loss incurred) on departure.
