La Tour de Vence is an imposing, stone-built Vence luxury villa rental, perched 360 metres above sea level, with sweeping 180 degree views across the surrounding countryside to the Bay of Cannes and the Italian coast. This is a stunning villa in an equally stunning setting, just 1 mile from the centre of Vence.
La Tour is a unique and special property, built to traditional Provencal Bastide tradition interspersed with a blend of modern Scandinavian, resulting in a wholly impressive and luxurious holiday villa. The property itself encompasses some 670m², sleeping up to twelve. There are fantastic views from its south facing position; some 50 km of coastline can be admired with the Italian Alps to the east, Cap d’Antibes, the bay of Cannes and L’Esterel mountains to the west. On a clear day one can even see as far as Corsica.
Within the property itself there is a modern kitchen, some 45m², with Italian Binova fittings, black granite work tops, a Scholtes four line stove and Wolf oven. There is a professional Unic coffee machine, perfect for breakfast time with fresh croissants, enjoyed with views from the terrace which directly accesses the kitchen. The 80m² living area includes a huge stone fireplace, Ralph Lauren armchairs, ‘smart’ TV, B & O sound system and a selection of modern pieces of art adorn the walls. There are five bedrooms on the first floor, all with views of the Mediterranean and modern individually designed en suite bathrooms. One room has a sofa bed, offering space for an extra two guests.
This Vence villa has been beautifully restored and elegantly furnished. With a private tennis court and boules pitch there is plenty of scope for activity, whilst large terraces with shady pergolas are ideally positioned to take in the vista over a relaxing glass of wine or a leisurely meal.
The old walled town of Vence is full of interesting art galleries, craft shops and cafes surrounding a classic French square and interesting church and the Chateau du Domaine St Martin restaurant boasts 5 Michelin stars. Nearby St Paul de Vence has small cobbled streets with tempting artisan shops and is home to renowned restaurant La Colombe d' Or. The beaches at Villeneuve Loubet and Cagnes-sur-Mer are a short distance from this Vence villa rental, and there are lots of activities for children along the coast between Antibes and Biot, both places that the adults will enjoy visiting too.

This villa has an excellent situation between the mountains and the sea, just above the town of Vence. In the old town of Vence you will love the little shops, the shaded squares, the fountains (particularly the “Fontaine du Peyra”) and the cafes. If you are a music lover, don’t miss the annual jazz festival, “Les Nuits du Sud”, and if you enjoy nature, every Thursday you can join an outing organized by a professional botanist to discover the local flora and fauna (information at the Tourist Office). At the same time, you are not far from the sea, with the nearest beaches being in Cagnes sur Mer and Villeneuve Loubet.
