About Foret de Provence
The lovely courtyard centred around an ancient olive tree is the focal point of this large stone farmhouse whose light blue shutters and colourful flower pots are so typical of Provence. The decor is elegant and stylish, light and airy thanks to the meticulously chosen shades of cream and neutral colours. The traditional country-style kitchen has a very Provencal feel, with its archways and wooden beams. Why not try out some delicious French recipes using the local produce from the nearby market then enjoy your culinary masterpiece al fresco under the pergola, whilst enjoying the striking views across the valley.
This is quintessential Provence with extensive lavender and poppy fields, forested hills, the peaks of the Dentelles de Montmirail mountain range with Mont Ventoux proudly towering over them, the Grand Luberon park and its many quaint villages full of character and unaltered charm. Pernes-les-Fontaines is only two miles away from this villa, offering visitors the chance to sample local flavours and to fully immerse themselves in Southern France's slow pace of life. This area is dotted with many attractive towns, all within easy reach of this property; Carpentras, Sorgue, Avignon, Orange would make very enjoyable day trips from this charming Provencal farmhouse.
