About The Garden Apartment
The Garden Apartment is a wonderful, air-conditioned apartment, perfect for a romantic couples getaway. It has been newly refurbished and furnished in order to provide comfortable accommodation, with one double bedroom, a garden with a private swimming pool, and a terrace and lawns adjacent to some wonderful vineyards.
This apartment is located on the ground floor, and has a large open plan lounge/kitchen/dining room, complete with French doors opening out onto the terrace, swimming pool (10m x 5m) and gardens.
The kitchen is new and fully fitted; it has new appliances including an electric hob, a microwave/grill, a fridge, an electric kettle, a toaster and a coffee maker.
There is one bedroom in this apartment, which is a double with a large mirrored wardrobe and a new digital French TV and DVD player.
English Satellite Flat screen TV and Free high speed Fibre broadband.
The bathroom is very luxurious with a WC, basin and another large mirrored cupboard.
This apartment has free WiFi throughout, English Satellite TV and electric central heating for those wishing to rent during the colder months.
The garden is one of this apartments best features, with French doors opening out onto a wonderful terrace, garden and private swimming pool. Al Fresco dining is made easy thanks to the BBQ, where you can cook your meals with local produce whilst overlooking the vineyards which are adjacent to the terrace and lawns.

It is just 300 meters from the sea water Lagoon and 1 km from the Port.
Close to the Canal du Midi.
Nearest airports are Beziers and Montpellier at around 40 minutes.

Fees and conditions
- Security Deposit: £200.00
- Security deposit of £200 to be paid directly to the owner.
- One set of towels and bed linen per guest are provided within the rental cost of the property. Additional sets may be provided on request at a cost of €15/set/person. The towels must under no circumstances be used as beach or swimming towels and the linen only used on the beds it was provided for.
- Not suitable for children or babies.
- Security deposit to be paid to the owner directly via bank transfer at the same time as the balance payment of 9 weeks prior to arrival.
The Apartment pool is large - 10m x 6m with a 30 - 50cms shallow end shelving down to 1m80 at the deepest point with a shelf all around at approx. 1m10 deep.
The owner is kindly offering private boat trips to his guests.
Gated parking for one car within the grounds.
Small dogs accepted subject to owner's direct permlssion.
Please leave the property in the same clean and tidy condition that it was found in. If it is not in the same condition, there will be a 60 euros charge for it to be cleaned by the housekeeper.
We are Lisa and Derek and we have been living in Marseillan for over 10 years now successfully operating our self-catering holiday villa and apartment. This keeps us very busy in between occasionally sampling the local beverages!
I am retired from business but keep very busy running our bookings and maintaining swimming pools etc. Lisa works part-time locally as a guide/ interpreter for a well known winery here.
We first came on holiday to Marseillan in 1995 and fell in love with its timeless French charm and the beauty of the surrounding countryside and beaches etc. Marseillan Ville is a picturesque, unspoilt old harbourside village located on the Etang de Thau (a sea water lagoon on the Mediterranean) famous for oysters and seafood. It is often likened to the St. Tropez of 50 years ago! The Canal du Midi starts at Marseillan, originally built in the 17th century to transport the abundance of local wines to the Bordeaux/Atlantic Region of France. You may have seen Marseillan featured on Chef Rick Stein's recent TV series where he travelled down the Canal sampling the local culinary delights here!
Our Villa, ‘Belles de Mai’ with its own private pool, and our entirely separate Garden Apartment 'Beau Jardin' (Ref MARS105) also with its own private pool, are located right on the vineyards, 300 meters from the Lagoon, 1 km from the Port and 3 kms from the long sandy Mediterranean beaches which run between Sete and Cap d'Agde. Both properties are within easy, level walking distance alongside the lagoon to the village centre and harbourside restaurants etc.
There is an excellence choice of sailing and water sports available in Marseillan alongside the famous flamingos! The well-known international marina and top-class golf courses of Cap D'Agde and Beziers are also nearby.
Very pleased with the accommodation and facilities. These matched the description and as a result we were not let down when we arrived. Relaxed stay in a great location. Highly recommended

What a gem of a find! In a perfect location, just a short walk into the beautiful harbour resort of Marseillan, with it's vast array of restaurants and shops, all along the marina. Beau Jardin certainly lives up to it's name ( lovely garden ), which are extensive, well maintained with shady patio & barbeque area, adjacent to the sunny poolside. The pool is absolutely perfect and for your exclusive use! The apartment has every amenity you could wish for and is beautifully presented and of 5 star quality. The owners - Lisa & Derek are a lovely couple, having a wealth of knowledge of the local area with it's array of attractions and activities and are on hand to give help & advise if you need. Lisa even gave us jars of her delicious chutney, made with the garden's produce! We had a very relaxing time at this idyllic place and will definitely recommend to our friends and family and are looking forward to coming back soon.

Even though I am sitting here on the computer back at work I feel so refreshed and much more relaxed and that is thanks to Derek and Lisa and their lovely apartment in its peaceful setting - no sounds except the birds singing in the trees - bliss! Swimming in your own lovely private pool was reviving of the spirits. We hired bikes and found there were many off-road cycle tracks to meander around the lake and into Marseillan or down to the beach at Marseillan Plage watching out for flamingoes when on the south side of the lake. Pretty Marseillan harbour was about to have its inauguration ceremony after several years of being upgraded to a quite upmarket pedestrian area and we found it a great place to sit and chill. From here we took a boat trip and also experienced fine dining in Le Château du Port restaurant and toured the Noilly Prat vermouth distillery. Everyone was so friendly, the food was great and Derek and Lisa informative and helpful.

We love the south of France and have always had terrific accommodation etc. Our expectations are always high and we carefully research what is available. This was our first visit to this area and we were not disappointed.
The booking etc was done with a very professional personal touch by the owner and was extremely informative and helpful - it was exactly what it said "on the tin".
Beautiful area with excellent restaurants and also with easy access to some other interesting places nearby.
The accommodation was beautifully presented, very well equipped and having your own private swimming pool was a considerable advantage.
It was for us a real winner and if you are thinking about it -don't - just go - you wont be disappointed."

Compact and well equipped inside and great outdoor space to make the most of Marseillan's Mediterranean climate.
Pleasant twenty minute walk along the Etang into the town which has a good range of restaurants - especially good if you like fish/shellfish. Plenty to do in the area.

This is our second stay at the garden apartment. The owners are very friendly and welcoming. Sole use of the pool was a real bonus. We have visited Fance for a number of years and feel this area is one of the best as it really feels you are on a relaxing holiday. I would recommend this apartment for anybody wanting a relaxed vacation, there are plenty of places to eat well and there are lots of places to visit."
